Miss-Information

Miss-Information

November 15, 2013 at 11:14am
So I "un-friended" from a (Real Time) Friend on Facebook last night.
He became angry with me when I checked again the source of a post He was making on his Timeline.
I pointed this out again, that He needs to check the Source if it's a website that isn't MSNBC or NPR, etc. In both Cases, they had a link to the FB Page, with all kinds of Crazy Right Wing and/or Tea Party Nuts.
I made yet another attempt to point this out, to my Gay Liberal Hippie Burner Left Wing Friend,
He resorted to being Stubborn and said: "Why don't You delete me", so I did.
Afterwards, I again, Have Tried to let him know, He's Broadcasting to his timeline the Opposite of His own Real Nature. We ALL have a responsibility to check out our Sources and NOT to Post Miss-Information.
I've had friends point out when I post something that wasn't correct info, I myself, Thank Them,
and DELETE the Miss-Information.

I feel sad that I lost a friend, but a True Friend lets his friend know He's broadcasting info not True!

Weather Forecast for yet another Doomsday.

Weather Forecast for this week.
The first forecast is my favorite as it even has Zombies!

Meanwhile, The Nat Geo Channel has yet another program on how it's the end of the World!
Yet Southwest Airlines is taking Airline Reservations until 05AUG13. LOL.

I do wonder why NatGeo keeps beating the Fear Drum,
Is it for Entertainment?
Is it to make the populace nervous so that they Consume more?
Fearful Shoppers make more addictive shopping choices.

Nasa explains why the end of the world is not coming on December 21

Space agency publishes YouTube video debunking Mayan calendar myths and explaining why catastrophe will not befall us.

'If you're watching this video it means one thing – the world didn't end yesterday' Link to this video
Time to retrieve that resignation letter from the boss's desk, return the life savings to your bank account and attempt to return to normal life – Nasa has announced that the world will not end on 21 December.
In a video published on YouTube, the space agency sought to calm fears – triggered by the supposed end of the Mayan calendar – that Christmas was about to be spoiled by the disintegration of Earth and the extinction of its 7 billion population.
The film was scheduled to be published on 22 December 2012, explaining why the world didn't end the previous day. "If you're watching this video it means one thing – the world didn't end yesterday," runs the commentary.
But Nasa is so confident in its prediction that it has released it now.
The prediction that the world would end four days before Christmas 2012 – potentially wreaking havoc with gift buying and travel plans – is a long-standing misconception, Nasa explains.
An accompanying post on the agency's website, titled Beyond 2012: Why the World Won't End, says that 21 December this year has been labelled as the end of all things because the Mayan calendar ends on this date.
But "just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012," Nasa says. Instead, it just starts over again.
Another factor in the end of the world prophecy comes from claims that a "supposed planet" called Nibiru is heading for Earth, hellbent on destruction.
"This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012," and linked to the end of the Mayan calendar, Nasa said.
As astrobiologist David Morrison puts it in the Nasa video: "If there were anything out there like a planet headed for earth it would already be one of the brightest objects in the sky. Everybody on earth could see it. You don't need to ask the government. Just go out and look. It's not there."

Tico was attacked in our Kitchen on WED. 15AUG12

He was attacked in our kitchen a couple of days ago by a visiting Pit-Bull Mix.
This dog had come in via our open back door, my neighbor's had a visitor and they didn't know He was out of my neighbor's Apt.
You may me scream "No", even across town, when this dog attacked little Tico,
shaking his limp body back and forth. .
As I screamed, I threw myself down on the floor to reach in the dog's jaws and attempt to pull Tico out.
I really don't recall what all I did, but I believe I was pulling Tico out, hitting the dog in the face, and screaming harshly at the top of my lungs.
I was sure Tico was goner.
I felt liquid pouring down which turned out to be water from Tico's water bowl, but I imagined it in those moments to be his blood.
My Partner was there kicking the Pit-Bull and yelling at him to get out.
It took me 2 tries of what-ever I was doing to pull Tico out.
He was so scared.
Any of you familiar with Dogs will know what that smell that smell is that they emit when in extreme fright.
I cradled Tico in my arms, looking for wounds, lo and behold, I didn't right away find the puncture wounds, which I would find later.
I tell ya, I was so scared. He was so scared. But other than those puncture wounds, He's alive and well, and still wanting to play fetch.
I hate that this event will now make me wary of Pit Bulls, but I will be.

Amazingly enough I only suffered a big bump the back of my head,
along with a scuff on our floor from my jeans.
Tico seems to have forgotten about it, (finally, though it took hours for him after the incident).
I've been easy for anger in the days that have followed.
If you believe in Prayer and/or Love Energy send it my way.
I'm feeling a bit distrustful of Life at the moment.

We have instructed our neighbors to let us know when a Dog is visiting their Apt. downstairs, We will close our back door, and lock it!
Better Yet, Don't let that dog come over again.

In no way Do I want to say this is true of all Pit-Bulls and that I believe them to be a Bad breed, they're not.
Tico had a cute little female Pit-Bull that was owned by my Partner's Niece's Boy Friend at the time, and they were wonderful together.

How Tico came into our life.

Tico came into our life late in the Month of April in 2004.

                                                          San Joaquin Valley Orchards

We were on a trip to Yosemite to take my partner's Nephew who was visiting from Maine.
Normally I enjoy stopping off in Oakhurst, CA, just to the south of Yosemite National Park.
It's in the Foothills of the Sierra Nevada with all the things a things one might need before
an excursion into the National Park.

Once we arrived, My Partner and I were taking a walk around to see what Curio Shops

We might find, and one on that walk, we came across a litter of Puppies. My Partner and
I had been looking for a Puppy. My Partner had his eyes on a Boston Terrier, but they $$$.

I had no idea that We would fall in love with what we thought was a Chihuahua,  He didn't
have Papers, but We didn't care. Come to find out, as He grew into Adulthood, He was much
lager than a Chihuahua, I have always concluded that Tico is a mix of Chihuahua and
Miniature Pinscher. I say Tico is a Chipin, (Min Pin / Chihuahua hybrid)

Tico came in to our life in the Month of April in 2004.
Out first day together was spent in Yosemite National Park.

                                                      With Tico begins our Family!

Wild Weather Day in San Francisco yesterday.

So much Rain in San Francisco but this time it wasn't just rain,
It was more like a Texas Thunderstorm with Thunder and Lighting!
Oh the little Dog Tico didn't like it all, He was running back and forth barking like crazy!

San Franfrazzled: Once-in-a-lifetime picture of lightning striking iconic bridge

By Daily Mail Reporter

They say that lightning never strikes twice, but this amazing photo proves otherwise.
An incredible eight bolts struck the Bay Bridge in San Francisco last night which was captured in this incredible shot by photographer Phil McGrew, who took the photo through the rain-soaked window of his apartment.
Mr McGrew, 49, was shocked at the striking image which shows the split-second moment of electric forks hitting the span of the bridge.

Lucky strike! Eight bolts of lightning hit the iconic Bay Bridge in San Francisco in a spectacular once in a lifetime moment captured by photographer Phil McGrew
The currency trader, who took up photography as a hobby two years ago, put his camera near his window as the rare thunderstorm lashed the city at 6pm.
He said: 'I moved from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to San Francisco about two years ago.
'We used to get a lot of big storms in Florida, but I've only seen them a couple of times here.

'When the thunder and lightning started last night, I thought I must get a picture of the lightning against the bridge.
'My apartment looks out over Bay Bridge and I knew it would make a good shot if I could get it.'
Mr McGrew, who lives with his girlfriend Sherry, set up his camera on a long exposure for about 20 seconds.
Not realising he was about to take a once-in-a-lifetime picture, he perfectly captured the white flashes of light over the inky sky set against the golden glow of the bridge.
He said: 'I wasn't brave enough to go outside, plus my camera would have been soaking wet, so I just set it up next to the window and watched.
'You couldn't see much by just looking through the window, it was very foggy.
'When I looked at my camera, I had a few that were just dark, and then some were very bright where I had just missed the strikes. Then I saw this one, it was incredible.
'You can count the strikes, the Bay Bridge has four distinct towers and you can see the lightning hitting each tower.
'I showed Sherry right away, she thought it was fantastic. We've never seen anything like it.'

Amazing Photos: Lightning Strikes San Francisco

Another astounding shot from Mission and 3rd (David Jones)
Found of Rasputin's Facebook page, there's a major debate as to whether or not this shot of lightning striking Berkeley is real. You be the judge.
David Jones snapped the first incredible photo here that shows lightning striking the city during tonight's tumultuous storm. (Did your building shake as well? Ours sure did.) He snapped the pic from his residence at The Paramount in downtown San Francisco. Amazing.
If you have any shots you'd like to share from tonight's lightning fest, send them to editor@sfist.com

The Conservatives may hate us, but that makes me love San Francisco even more.
From Critical Mass to the way when you walk down the street you can smell really good bud.
